Tammy Buist

Tammy Buist has a strong background in business development and strategic planning. Tammy is currently working as the Senior Vice President of Business Development at the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Before that, they held the position of Chief Business Development Officer at CANCER RESEARCH AND BIOSTATISTICS, where they were responsible for developing new lines of business and achieving business development goals. Tammy also served as the Vice President of Strategic Planning at Tekmira Pharmaceutical Corporation, where they successfully negotiated agreements and managed a patent portfolio. Tammy has held various other roles in business development and venture capital throughout their career.

Tammy Buist received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Whitman College in the years 1980 to 1984. Tammy later pursued a Master of Arts degree in Science Management, Applied Economics and Marketing, as well as International Management from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1989 to 1991.
