Samuel Sheffield

Samuel Sheffield has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Samuel started their career as an intern and part-time Data Science Software Engineer at Premier Inc. in 2016 and continued working there until 2017. Samuel also worked as a Computer Science Tutor at Hampden-Sydney College from 2015 to 2017, where they participated in undergraduate research related to constructing a small distributed system and benchmarking its performance.

In 2015, Samuel started their work as a Cyber-Physical Systems Researcher at HyPower, contributing to the growing field of cyber-physical systems. Samuel gained experience in programming and modeling networked physical systems, as well as researching advanced topics like control systems and embedded systems.

Samuel joined Red Ventures in 2017 as an Associate Software Engineer and steadily progressed to the roles of Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer. Samuel worked there until 2021. During this time, they gained expertise in software development and engineering.

In 2021, Samuel joined IronNet as a Software Engineer and quickly advanced to the role of Senior Software Engineer. Samuel worked there until 2022.

Currently, Samuel is employed at Panther as a Senior Backend Software Engineer. Samuel started this role in 2022 and then transitioned to the role of Staff Backend Software Engineer in 2023.

Throughout their career, Samuel Sheffield has consistently demonstrated their skills and expertise in software engineering, research, and technical problem-solving.

Samuel Sheffield obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Hampden-Sydney College, where they studied from 2013 to 2017. Prior to their college studies, they attended Salem High School from 2009 to 2013, where they graduated with a High School degree. In terms of additional certifications, Samuel obtained the AWS Certified Developer – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in January 2021.
