Diane Grove Villalon

Associate Director, Research at Parion Sciences

Diane Grove Villalon has a strong background in scientific research, with a focus on pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences. Diane started their career in 2006 as a post-doctoral fellow at UNC at Chapel Hill, where they worked until 2011. At UNC, they gained valuable experience in conducting research and collaborating with other researchers.

In 2011, Diane joined Parion Sciences, a pharmaceutical company. Diane initially held the role of NCBC Fellow, where they further developed their research skills and contributed to projects related to drug discovery. After completing their fellowship in December 2012, they transitioned to the position of Research Scientist II, where they were involved in developing and implementing research strategies for drug development. Their strong performance in this role led to a promotion to Senior Scientist in May 2014.

In May 2015, Diane was promoted to the position of Associate Director, Research at Parion Sciences. In this role, they assumed leadership responsibilities and played a crucial role in overseeing and managing research projects. Their contributions to the company have been significant, and they continue to be an asset to the team.

Diane Grove Villalon started their education journey at South Hagerstown High School, where they completed their high school education between 1992 and 1996. After graduating from high school, they attended McDaniel College from 1996 to 2000, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry.

Following their undergraduate studies, Diane continued their education at The Johns Hopkins University from 2000 to 2006. During this time, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
