Maria-Cristina Ventresca has a diverse work experience. Maria-Cristina started their career in 2007 as a Residential Assistant at the John Hopkin's Center for Talented Youth, where they supervised and managed high school students. Maria-Cristina then worked as an Intern at the Organization of American States and later as an Educational Advisor at the Institute for International Education/EducationUSA, where they advised Mexican students on international exchange opportunities and the US higher education system.

In 2008, Maria-Cristina worked as an Intern at the National Council of International Visitors, assisting in the administration of the State Department International Visitors Leadership Program. Maria-Cristina also interned at the American Councils for International Education, serving as a Program Assistant for educational seminars.

In 2009, Maria-Cristina joined the Academy for Educational Development as a Program Associate, where they assisted in the administration and management of microfinance and enterprise development projects. Maria-Cristina also interned at the same organization, providing support for USAID scholarship programs.

In 2011, Maria-Cristina worked as a Program Assistant at the American Councils for International Education, where they managed educator professional development exchange programs.

Maria-Cristina also worked as a Part Time Institute Employee at Teach For America. Additionally, they served as an Admissions Process Coordinator at the NYC Department of Education, managing communications for the High School Admissions process.

Finally, since 2015, Maria-Cristina has been working at Partnership Schools. Maria-Cristina started as a Director of School Operations and later became the Director of Operational Strategy. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Operations. In this role, they manage all operations of a Pre-K to 8 school, including budgeting, data management, facilities, HR, marketing, and development. Maria-Cristina also teaches an after-school class to 7th and 8th-grade students.

Maria-Cristina Ventresca completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in International Affairs and Spanish Literature at The George Washington University from 2005 to 2009. Maria-Cristina later pursued their Master of Arts degree in International Educational Development at Teachers College, Columbia University from 2012 to 2013.
