Pradeep Podila, PhD, FACHE, FHFMA, FNAHQ, CPHIMS, CPHQ, CSSBB has a diverse work experience spanning various research, teaching, and leadership roles. Pradeep is currently working as a Health Scientist (Informatics) - Senior Service Fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention since September 2020. In this role, they are involved in research focused on common data models and building data capacity for cross-sector record linkages to develop longitudinal patient records for comparative effectiveness research.

Prior to their current position, Pradeep served as a Public Health Informatics Fellow (PHIFP) (Associate Service Fellow) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from September 2018 to September 2020. During this time, they led pilot efforts of the Childhood Obesity Data Initiative (CODI) project in Denver, CO, which aimed to expand patient-centered outcomes research (PCOR) data capacity.

From 2013, Pradeep has been a member of the PCORI Reviewer Community at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). As a member, they reviewed and provided feedback for grant applications and attended review committees as a patient stakeholder.

Additionally, Pradeep has teaching experience as an Adjunct Faculty at the Division of Health Systems Management & Policy, School of Public Health, at The University of Memphis from 2015 to 2018. Pradeep also worked as a Teaching Assistant and Adjunct Teaching Assistant at The University of Memphis from 2012 to 2014, where they supported courses in biostatistics and public budgeting & financing.

Pradeep also has experience in the healthcare industry, having worked at Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare as a Decision Support Data Specialist from 2011 to 2018. In this role, they were responsible for managing and maintaining a comprehensive utilization and quality database and providing consulting services regarding clinical data solutions and performance metric reporting.

Furthermore, Pradeep contributed to the Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence (TNCPE) as a Member of the Board of Examiners from 2016 to 2018. Pradeep has also served as the Student Leader of the IHI Open School Chapter at the School of Public Health, The University of Memphis, from 2013 to 2014.

Pradeep began their career in IT support, working as a Local Support Provider at The University of Memphis from 2007 to 2011, where they provided IT support to multiple departments within the College of Arts & Sciences.

In 2018, they attended The Academy for Excellence in Healthcare (Executive Education) at The Ohio State University, focusing on Process Improvement. Pradeep received their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Epidemiology from The University of Memphis between 2011 and 2016. Additionally, they obtained a Graduate Certificate in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) from The University of Memphis during the same time period.
