Daniel Rutledge is a seasoned researcher with extensive experience in nature monitoring, conservation, and environmental consultancy. Currently serving as a Researcher at PBL Planbureau voor de Leefomgeving since June 2023, Daniel previously held various senior advisory roles at BIJ12 from April 2020 to June 2023, focusing on nature monitoring and conservation strategies. Daniel has also contributed significantly to RIVM National Institute for Public Health and the Environment and led diverse research initiatives at Manaaki Whenua - Landcare Research over a span of 16 years, addressing sustainable development and biodiversity management. With a robust educational background, including a PhD in Fisheries & Wildlife from Michigan State University, Daniel has successfully partnered with stakeholders to navigate complex policy challenges and has been integral in developing innovative ecological tools and frameworks throughout a comprehensive career in research and academia.
