Kush Bhandari

Director Of Engineering at Pelago

Kush Bhandari has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Kush started their career as an Associate Software Engineer at Metacube in 2004. Kush then worked at Symphony Services as an Associate Engineer and later as a Senior Engineer, where they contributed to the development of Yahoo! Mobile Web Services and other projects. Kush then joined Yahoo! as a Technical Lead and Technical Yahoo!, working on various media products and the Yahoo! Mobile Applications.

In 2013, Kush joined Expedia Group as a Senior Software Engineer, specifically working on partner integrations for the travelmob team. Kush then moved to Travelstop in 2018 as a Senior Software Engineer, playing a significant role in building the platform from scratch and focusing on backend engineering. Kush was responsible for developing the entire Flights vertical and contributing to other services as well.

Currently, Kush is at Pelago, where they have held multiple positions including Senior Software Engineer, Engineering Manager, and currently, the Director of Engineering. In their current role, they oversee the engineering department and makes strategic decisions to drive the company's success. Kush has also been involved in designing and developing key components of the Pelago platform, including checkout flows and state machines for booking and payments.

Kush Bhandari completed their education in computer applications. From 2000 to 2005, they attended the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), where they obtained degrees in B Level (MCA), A Level (PGDCA), and O Level (DCA). During the same period, they also studied at CIStems Institute of Information Technology, earning an Integrated Masters Program of Information Technology Applications (IMPITA) degree. Additionally, from 2000 to 2003, they pursued a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) degree at Indira Gandhi National Open University.
