Amanda Sargen

Committee Member - Sustainability Ambassador at Penn State THON

Amanda Sargen is an undergraduate student at Penn State University pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering. Currently serving as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Schreyer Honors College, Amanda is focused on identifying reliable ultrasound techniques for quantifying mechanical properties of the patellar tendon. Additionally, Amanda works as a Peer Educator, where responsibilities include leading orientations for new honors scholars and piloting a course aimed at fostering self-awareness and understanding of personal identities. Involvement with Penn State THON™ as a Committee Member includes roles as Supply Master and Fundraising Specialist, contributing to the logistics and fundraising efforts of the largest student-run philanthropy in the world. Previous experience includes serving as an Application Engineering Co-op at The Timken Company, a Staff Tutor for various subjects at UpGrade, coaching at Skyline Gymnastics Center, and working as an All Star Squad Member at MOD Pizza.
