Chris Gunner

Chris Gunner has extensive work experience in the field of information security and cyber security. Chris most recently worked at Pepper Financial Services Group as the Group CISO, a role they held since April 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Clyde & Co as the Global Information Security and Risk Manager from May 2018 to September 2019. Chris also served as the Information Security Manager at Herbert Smith Freehills from November 2015 to May 2018. Before that, Chris worked at EY as part of the Advisory - Information Security team from January 2015 to November 2015. Chris began their career at BAE Systems Applied Intelligence as a Principal Consultant, specializing in cyber security, from January 2009 to January 2015. Chris also has experience as a Test Centre Administrator at Prometric, where they managed test centers for health and safety exams while studying for their MSci degree from September 2006 to June 2008.

Chris Gunner received their MSci degree in Physics and Astronomy from the University of Nottingham from 2004 to 2008. Prior to that, they attended LVS Ascot High School from 1995 to 2004. Chris also obtained certifications including Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA in 2015, ISO27001 Lead Auditor & Implementer from IT Governance Ltd in 2014, and Associate of the IISP from the Institute of Information Security Professionals in 2012.
