Denys Thevenot

Denys Thevenot has extensive work experience in the food industry. Denys is currently the Vice President of Food Safety and Quality Assurance at Perdue Farms since June 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the Senior Director of Food Safety & Quality at Perdue Farms from February 2021 to August 2023.

Previously, Denys held the position of Plant Manager at Bettera Brands LLC from November 2018 to December 2020. Before that, they worked at SugarCreek as the Plant Manager of the Washington Court House facility from November 2009 to November 2018. At SugarCreek, they also served as the Director of Food Safety, Quality Assurance, and R + D from October 2002 to November 2009, and as the Corporate Microbiologist and Lab Director from August 1999 to October 2002.

Denys began their career at Birchwood Foods as a Microbiologist, where they analyzed raw and finished meat products for bacterial presence from May 1996 to August 1999. Denys also worked as a Microbiologist and Chemist at Maple Leaf Foods Inc. in Winnipeg, Manitoba from September 1990 to May 1996. In this role, they analyzed raw and fully cooked meat, meat by-products, and blood meals for bacterial presence and counts.
