Ashley Wyard has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Ashley started their career as an Instrument Tech Apprentice at Aker Solutions from 1996 to 2000. Ashley then worked at Fluor Industrial Services Aberdeen as an Instrument Technician for a brief period in 2000. After that, they joined Northland Norward Energy as a Data Acquisition Technician from 2000 to 2004, where they focused on under-balanced drilling and well test operations.

In 2004, Ashley joined AJS V.o.F. as an Instrument Technician, responsible for safety critical and non-safety critical maintenance on plant instrumentation. Ashley later joined Aker Kvaerner in 2005 as a Control Room Operator, where they operated and monitored DCS and SCADA systems.

Ashley's next role was with Perenco from 2006 to 2013. Ashley started as a Production Technician/CRO/Deputy NUI OIM/Area Authority, where they carried out monitoring and operating tasks, managed isolations, and served as an authorised gas tester. Ashley was then promoted to the position of OIM, overseeing the health, safety, and welfare of personnel on the Trent Compression Platform and its associated Field NUIs.

After their tenure at Perenco, Ashley joined Shell in 2013 as the Shell UK/NAM Barge Campaign - Production Team Leader/Head of Combined Operations OIM. In this role, they led the barge campaign operations team, ensuring the safe execution of various operational activities. Ashley was also responsible for emergency response scenarios, management of change documentation, and operational risk assessments.

Currently, Ashley is working at Perenco again. Ashley first held the position of Decommissioning Engineer - Operations from 2021 to 2022. Ashley then became an Offshore Decommissioning Engineer (ODE) before assuming their current role as a Rig Interface Lead.

Overall, Ashley Wyard has a strong background in offshore operations, including decommissioning, production, and emergency response.

Ashley Wyard has a diverse education history. Starting in 1996, they attended Great Yarmouth College of Further Education for two years, studying Mechanical & Electrical Engineering. Following that, from 1998 to 2000, Ashley attended EAGIT and pursued studies in Instrument and Control.

After a significant gap in education, Ashley returned to school in 2013 and completed studies at Lowestoft College from 2013 to 2015. During this time, they obtained an SVQ degree in Processing Hydrocarbons.

In addition to formal education, Ashley has also obtained various certifications. These include OPEP 1 Oil Spill Commander OIM from Oil Spill Response Ltd in November 2019, Permit Vision from Shell in July 2016 and June 2016, Processing Hydrocarbons from SQA - Scottish Qualifications Authority in January 2015, Issow from Shell in June 2013, Offshore First Aid from Petans Limited in July 2020, BOSIET from OPITO in October 2018, Management of Major Emergencies Level 3 from OPITO in October 2019, Authorised Gas Tester Level 3 from Atlas Knowledge, a Mintra Group Company in July 2019, Radiation Protection from Tracerco Ltd in April 2019, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering from ECITB, and OIM Offshore UK Regulations from Petrofac. There are also certifications in SBT01 from Swagelok and Working at Height from Atlas Knowledge, a Mintra Group Company, although the obtained month and year for these certifications are not available.
