Ben King

Ben King began their career in 2008 as a Finance Intern for Basel Tust Group. In 2010, they moved to Tonic Life Communications, where they worked as an Intern/Junior Account Executive. In 2011, they joined AkzoNobel as a Customer Business Graduate, where they were responsible for managing the company's business with Halfords and Dunelm Mill. Ben was then promoted to Customer Business Manager and was responsible for managing the exterior, wallpaper, aesthetics and metalcare brands, as well as managing the entire business with Screwfix in the UK. Ben then became the Brand Manager and Head of Professional Promotional Strategy, where they were responsible for rewriting the promotional strategy generation for the AkzoNobel UK Professional brands. Ben was then tasked to develop a blueprint model for how AkzoNobel could deliver a service offer within the UK commercial sectors, and managed the team that designed and delivered the Dulux's Smarter Spaces initiative. In 2016, Ben King founded Pesky Fish, with the mission of rebuilding the global fishing industry so that seafood can sustainably feed the world.

Ben King attended the University of Leicester from 2008 to 2011, where they earned a BA 1st Class in Business Studies. Prior to that, they attended Reading Boys from 2005 to 2007, where they studied Economics, Maths, Physics, and Theatre Studies. Ben also holds a Kellogg's Swimming Badge from the Kellogg Company, which they obtained in September 1994, and a City & Guild Seafood Retail Certificate from City & Guilds.
