Cungen Zhang

Cungen Zhang has a diverse work experience in the field of chemistry. Cungen is currently working as an Associate Principal Scientist at PharmaBlock Group since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Abon Pharmaceuticals, LLC as an S Chemist and later as an Analytical Chemist for about 12 and a half years, where they focused on method development. Before that, they were an Analytical Chemist at Drug Testing and Research Lab, US Equestrian Federation, Inc, where they performed LC/MS analytical chemist duties. Cungen also worked as a Research Associate at Johns Hopkins and University of Maryland, managing NMR and LC/MS facilities, and as a researcher at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Cungen began their career as an Associate Professor at Shanghai Jiaotong University.

Cungen Zhang obtained a PhD in Physical Chemistry from Zhejiang University, completing their studies from 1994 to 1997. Cungen then pursued further studies in Analytical Chemistry at The University of Freiburg, supported by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, during the period of 2000 to 2001. Cungen Zhang also holds a Master's degree in Chemistry from Nanjing University, earned between 1987 and 1990.
