Scott Carter

Vice President - Microbials Business at Phibro Animal Health

Scott Carter has extensive experience in the animal health industry and has held various leadership roles throughout their career. Scott currently serves as the Vice President of the Microbials Business at Phibro Animal Health, a position they have held since February 2020. Prior to this, they were the Chief Scientific Officer at ANIZOME LLC from May 2018 to February 2020. From January 2018 to February 2020, they also worked at Baylor College of Medicine as the Director of Business Development.

Before these roles, Scott Carter worked at Elanco as the Director of Enzyme Research and Development from January 2016 to January 2018. Prior to this, they served as the Marketing Director at Elanco from February 2013 to January 2016, where they were responsible for global marketing initiatives for the feed enzyme business.

Earlier in their career, Scott Carter worked at Novus as the Executive Manager of Global Monogastric Marketing from November 2011 to February 2013. Scott also held the position of Market Manager at Novus from September 2007 to November 2011.

Scott Carter's previous experience includes serving as the Vice President of Research and Development at Freedom Health LLC from July 2006 to September 2007, and as a Product Champion and North East Regional Sales Manager at Alltech from 2002 to 2006. Scott began their career at Alltech as a Territory Sales Manager from September 1998 to December 2001.

Scott Carter earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Purdue University from 1989 to 1993. Scott then pursued a Ph.D. in Nutrition at North Carolina State University from 1993 to 1998. Later, they attended Washington University in St. Louis - Olin Business School from 2010 to 2011, where they obtained an MBA in Executive Management.
