Alexandra Nowacki has a diverse work experience spanning across various companies and roles. Alexandra is currently the Director of Design + UX at Pivotal Ventures since December 2021. Prior to this, they worked at the International Rescue Committee from 2012 to 2021, starting as the Senior Officer of UX & Visual Design and later becoming the Global Associate Director of UX & Visual Design. In this role, they built the IRC's first digital design system and launched it in multiple countries. Before that, they served as the Creative Director at giggle from 2005 to 2012, overseeing creative and branding initiatives for the company. Alexandra also co-founded Applebutter, a boutique design agency, where they worked as the Creative Director, Partner from 1999 to 2009. Their previous experiences include roles such as Online Art Director at Gruner + Jahr USA, Graphic Designer at Sticky Networks, and Web Designer at CBSNews.com. Alexandra started their career as a Graphic Designer & Photo Retoucher at David Harry Stewart Photography. Overall, Alexandra has a strong background in design, UX, and leadership roles.

Alexandra Nowacki completed the Diversity and Inclusion Certificate program at Cornell University in 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Certified Brand Specialist designation from Level C in 2019, specializing in Brand Leadership. Alexandra's education journey began in 1993, when they enrolled in the BFA Photography Program at the School of Visual Arts, where they completed their studies in 1996.
