Joe O'Shea

Joe O'Shea has a strong background in research and development in the chocolate industry. Joe started their career at Procter & Gamble in 1987, where they held various roles including Group Leader, Section Head of Global Packaging, and Associate Director of Research and Development. In 2006, they joined Cadbury plc. as the Director of Commercialization for Chocolate Research and Development, where they played a key role in supply chain reorganization. In 2010, they moved to Mondelēz International as the Global Director of Chocolate Research and Development, leading the innovation team for global brands such as Cadbury and Toblerone. Joe then joined Godiva Chocolatier in 2015 as the Head of Research and Development before assuming their current role as Head of Global ChocoSnacking R&D at pladis Global in 2016.

Joe O'Shea attended Crescent College in Limerick, Ireland from 1974 to 1979. Joe then went on to study Chemistry at the University of Galway from 1979 to 1983.
