Krzysztof Ras

Krzysztof Ras has extensive professional experience in engineering leadership, mentorship, and executive consulting. In 2022, they were a Mentor at Leaders Island and an Engineering Leadership Mentor at Plato. From 2020 to present, they have been the VP of Engineering and Managing Director for Poland at Bitpanda, where they built a technology hub from scratch in Poland during the global pandemic, scaling the engineering team from 0 to 80 in 18 months. Krzysztof was also responsible for establishing and implementing engineering strategy, developing vision and product roadmap, coordinating and overseeing operational structures, engaging and aligning top talent, and talent development and retention. From 2019 to 2020, they were the VP of Engineering and Site Leader at Fandom. From 2017 to 2019, they were a Mentor at Google, an Executive Technology Consultant at Coleman Research, an Executive Consultant at GLG, and the Head of Software Development, Robotics & AI at State Street. From 2015 to 2017, they were the Managing Director at Grid Dynamics, where they built a fully operational software development hub in Cracow in the first 100 days and scaled it to 60+ IT professionals in two years. From 2016 to 2017, they were a Visiting Lecturer at the AGH University of Science and Technology.

Krzysztof Ras obtained their Master's Degree in Computer Science from AGH University of Science and Technology between 2000 and 2005. Krzysztof then went on to obtain a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from both Stockholm University and Uniwersytet Ekonomiczny w Krakowie between 2012 and 2014, both with a focus in Business Administration and Management, General.
