Louis F. Ernst has extensive work experience in the engineering field. Louis F. currently holds the position of Director of Hydrogen Systems Engineering at Plug Power, starting in April 2023. Alongside their formal education, Louis also earned several certifications. In 1991, they became an Amateur Radio Operator certified by the Federal Communications Commission. In 1997, they received the Engineer In Training certification from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. In 2001, they obtained the GE Six Sigma Green Belt certification from GE Power. Lastly, in 2006, Louis became a Certified 40 CFR 82 F (Refrigerant) Technician - Type Universal through the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI).
