John Mansfield

John Mansfield, PhD, has extensive work experience in various leadership roles within the insurance, finance, medical technology, and consulting industries. Currently, they serve as the Chief Operating Officer of the Independent Agency Group at Plymouth Rock Assurance. Before this, they were the Head of Intelligent Process Automation at Citizens, where they also led the operational excellence efforts and played a crucial role in the company's Agile Transformation. Prior to that, they worked at Fidelity Investments as the Senior Vice President of Advanced Process Solutions, where they successfully re-engineered and digitally transformed processes across different departments. John also held positions at Boston Scientific as the Director of Business Transformation and at EMC as the Vice President of the Center for Business Excellence. In both roles, they implemented significant process improvements, resulting in cost savings and increased efficiency. Early in their career, they worked as a Consultant at McKinsey & Company, providing strategic advice to C-Suite executives across various industries. Dr. Mansfield's expertise lies in process optimization, transformation, and operational excellence.

John Mansfield, PhD holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where they also obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) in the same field. Prior to their time at MIT, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. Additionally, they possess a Certificate of Process Expertise from Hammer & Company.
