Alan Owens

Alan Owens has extensive work experience in various positions, primarily in the technology and operations fields. Alan started their career in 1994 as a Unix Admin/Oracle DBA at Davis and Henderson and then moved on to work as a Senior Unix Admin at the Bank of Nova Scotia in 1996. In 1997, they joined ADC as a Senior Technical Specialist, where they were responsible for Unix systems and led a team of Unix admin staff. From 2003 to 2006, they worked at Workbrain as a Hosting Manager. Alan then served as the Director of Technology Operations at ReserveAmerica from 2006 to 2014. After that, they held the position of Director of Technology Operations at The Active Network from 2009 to 2014. Lastly, they worked at Points, where they held various positions, including Director IT Operations, Vice President of Business Operations, and Vice President of Information Security and Privacy.

Alan Owens has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in computer science from University College Dublin.
