Stijn Haemhouts

Stijn Haemhouts has a diverse work experience in the IT field. Starting in 2004, they worked as a Service Desk Operator at Cipal. In 2005, they joined Politie Antwerpen and held various positions including Service Desk and Application Administrator, System Engineer, Teamlead System Engineer, and Program Manager. Stijn then became the Manager of IT Infrastructure & Operations, where they were responsible for the service management and operations of the IT infrastructure. In 2020, they were promoted to the role of Deputy Director IT, where they provided strategic direction and oversight for the design, development, operation, and support of IT systems and programs. In 2016, Stijn Haemhouts also founded iT-shade, an IT consulting company that helps organizations define their IT strategy, guide them through digital transformation, and improve IT management to increase business value.

Stijn Haemhouts completed their education in IT related fields. In 2007, they obtained a Bachelor's degree from Katholieke Hogeschool Kempen, specializing in IT. Later, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Executive Master of IT Governance and Assurance from Antwerp Management School, graduating in 2016. Stijn also obtained certifications in Information Security Management from the European CIO Association in June 2016 and became a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA in January 2019.
