Carlos Rivas

Carlos Rivas has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Carlos started their career as an Associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, where they advised clients on complex Latin American financial transactions. Carlos then transitioned to the public sector, working as an Executive Aide in the Office of the Governor, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, where they served as the principal public policy aide to the Chief of Staff. Afterward, they joined McKinsey & Company as an Associate, specializing in management consulting. In 2005, they became the Executive Director of the Puerto Rico Housing Finance Authority, overseeing programs dedicated to promoting affordable housing in Puerto Rico. Carlos later served as a Principal at Advent-Morro Equity Partners, before taking on the role of Director at the Office of Management and Budget in Puerto Rico, where they were responsible for monitoring and executing budgets. Currently, Carlos is a Senior Vice President at Banco Popular de Puerto Rico, leading a 650-employee unit responsible for servicing a portfolio of over $20 billion in mortgage loans.
