Huipeng Xue

Huipeng Xue currently serves as Lead Structural Engineer at Progress Rail, A Caterpillar Company, since June 2023. Previously, Huipeng worked at LEAP Australia as a CAE Application Engineer (Mechanical & Structural) from September 2021 to June 2023, where over 40 engineering consulting projects were completed, focusing on various FEA applications. Prior to that, Huipeng held a Research Associate position at the University of Technology Sydney from March 2017 to September 2021, engaging in lightweight design projects for humanoid robots and teaching FEA and topology optimization. Education includes a PhD in Structural Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Technology Sydney, a Master of Engineering in Structural Design and Mechanical Manufacturing from Guizhou University, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Henan Polytechnic University.
