Angela Hooper

Angela Hooper has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Angela is currently working as the Vice President of Field Engineering and Customer Success at Prophecy since April 2023. In this role, Angela helps organizations build low code data transformations to accelerate their journey to the cloud.

Prior to their current position, Angela served as the Vice President Global Customer Success at Alation from September 2021 to March 2023. Angela was responsible for transforming the customer success business function and overseeing 500+ clients. Angela facilitated enhanced performance, strategy, and durable growth of the organization.

Angela also worked at ThoughtSpot for several years, starting as a Senior Sales Engineer from December 2016 to May 2018. Angela then became the Director Sales Engineering, West & Public Sector from May 2018 to November 2019. Finally, Angela served as the Vice President of Customer Success from November 2019 to September 2021, where they were responsible for the adoption, expansion, and retention of accounts.

Before their time at ThoughtSpot, Angela was the Global Sales Engineering Director at Datameer from December 2015 to December 2016, where they managed the global team and sales cycles. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Sales Engineer & Technical Account Manager at Platfora from February 2015 to December 2015.

Angela's earlier experiences include working at IBM as a Technical Sales Manager from November 2014 to February 2015, and as a Solutions Architect from January 2013 to November 2014. Angela also worked at Infolink Consulting as a Founding Team & Consulting Practice Manager from September 2010 to December 2012, managing remote teams of consultants and projects across the US.

Additionally, Angela worked as the Senior Manager Business Intelligence & Data Warehousing at Colorado Community College System from December 2007 to September 2010, where they managed a team and was responsible for IT development of reporting and decision support initiatives. Angela also served as a Database Administrator at Tyler Junior College from September 2005 to December 2007, and as a Systems Analyst at Tempel Steel from February 2003 to September 2005.

Throughout their career, Angela has demonstrated expertise in various areas including customer success, field engineering, sales engineering, and business intelligence consulting. Angela has successfully managed teams and projects, facilitated client engagement, and promoted the adoption and utilization of products.

Angela Hooper received their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Notre Dame. Angela completed their studies at the university from 1998 to 2002.
