Miriam Haak has a diverse work experience in the field of cell and gene therapy. Miriam is currently working at ProtaGene as the Senior Vice President of Cell & Gene Therapy. Prior to this, they held the position of Vice President of Cell and Gene Therapy at the same company. Miriam also worked at Miltenyi Biotec, where they started as a Scientist and Laboratory Manager at Universitätsklinikum Münster. Later, they joined Miltenyi Biotec, first as a Grant and Project Manager, then as a Business Development- Project Manager Industry Business, and eventually became the Director of Business Development. During their tenure at Miltenyi Biotec, they were responsible for project management, building a subsidiary, and managing grants and collaborations. Before joining Miltenyi Biotec, Miriam worked as a Scientific Advisor at Projektträger im DLR.

Miriam Haak received their education in the field of life sciences. Miriam began their postgraduate studies at the University of Münster in 2003 and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in 2010. Prior to that, they obtained their Diplom degree in immunology from The University of Freiburg, where they studied from 1998 to 2003. Miriam's academic journey began at the University of Bremen, where they completed their Vordiplom in biology between 1995 and 1998.
