Alan Lyons

Alan Lyons has over nine years of experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. Alan began their career in 2013 as a Retail Betting Assistant at Paddy Power Betfair. In 2016, they became a Science Teacher at Beaufort College. In 2017, they joined Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as a Biotech Production Specialist and later an Associate Biotech Production Specialist. In 2019, they moved to Evonik as a Senior Associate in GMP Manufacturing. In 2020, they joined STEMCELL Technologies as a Senior Process Development Associate in Biologics, where they developed, implemented and performed tech transfer of scalable DSP protein purification processes. Currently, they are a Manufacturing Sciences Manager at Providence Therapeutics.

Alan Lyons has a diverse educational background, having studied at the University of Limerick, North Carolina State University, and Technological University Dublin. Alan obtained a BSc in Biological Sciences and Chemistry from the University of Limerick in 2015, and an MSc in Molecular Biology from the same institution in 2017. In 2021, they are currently enrolled in two courses, one at Technological University Dublin for Planning a Validation Strategy, and another at North Carolina State University for Latest Trends in Downstream Biopharmaceutical Processing. Additionally, they have obtained two certifications, a Project Management Professional (PMP\u00ae) from the Project Management Institute in August 2021, and Health and Safety at Work from Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI).
