Bilingual Resources Coordinator / Communicable Disease Investigator Outbreak Lead at Public Health Institute

Linda Diaz has a diverse work experience in the healthcare and public health sectors. Linda started their career as a Medical Doctor at Hospital San Antonio de Chia in 2008, where they focused on health promotion and chronic disease management. Linda then joined SALUDCOOP as a Medical Doctor, specializing in emergency room care and surgery. In 2012, they worked at Fundacion Santa Fe de Bogota as a Medical Doctor, where they implemented health education campaigns and reduced the incidence of infectious diseases. In 2020, they joined the Public Health Institute, initially working as a Bilingual Community Care Specialist and Case Investigator for COVID-19 contact tracing efforts. Later, they took on the role of Bilingual Resources Coordinator, where they created health education guides, conducted needs assessments, and coordinated care for COVID-19 cases and contacts. Currently, they are working as a Bilingual Services Coordinator for Neurodevelopmental Disabilities at Alta California Regional Center.

Linda Diaz's education history includes a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Universidad de Ciencias Aplicadas y Ambientales, obtained between 2001 and 2007. Linda also attended the University of Delaware in 2021, specializing in Advanced Telehealth Coordinator. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications in fields such as behavioral health, outbreak management, HIPAA compliance, COVID-19 case investigation and contact tracing, drug development, clinical trial design and interpretation, autism spectrum disorder, and mental health first aid.
