Amgad Kamel has had an extensive and diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Amgad began their career in 1988 at KPMG, where they worked for 14 years in various capacities, primarily focusing on providing IT management and strategy advice to clients in the financial sector. During this time, they also led the implementation of IT Risk Management Benchmarking globally.

After leaving KPMG, Kamel worked as a Group IT Internal Auditor at Alea Group – Global Insurance and Reinsurance. Here, they were responsible for setting up the department and developing IT Internal Audit methodologies.

Following their time at Barclays, Kamel worked at Al Hilal Bank as a Consultant. Most recently, Kamel has been working at Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB). Amgad initially served as the Head of Operations and Internal Control Divisions before being promoted to the role of Assistant General Manager (AGM) and Head of the Business Transformation Division. In this position, they are responsible for improving bank processes, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness, and driving digitalization initiatives. Amgad also oversees the Internal Control Department and is involved in reviewing and improving critical bank processes and documenting business requirements for digital projects.
