Josep Segarra

Senior Impact Investment Manager at Quadia

Josep brings to Quadia over 5 years of experience in corporate finance and venture capital / private equity. Josep is an Investment Manager, leading and supporting investments in the the European sectors of Sustainable Agriculture and Food, clean energy and mobility, and Circular Economy with a particular focus on sustainable electronics.

Since joining Quadia in 2016, Josep has worked on the investment analysis, execution and monitoring of over 15 investments across Quadia’s direct equity portfolio and agri-food debt program. Prior to joining Quadia, Josep worked as a Business Controller at Groupe Danone, where he assisted in consolidating the financial statements of Danone’s water subsidiary in Spain. Josep’s experience in the sustainability sector stems from his role as Business Developer for CO2-monitor in 2015, a Swiss-based environmental services company providing sustainability awareness solutions to corporates and International Organizations. In early 2016, he worked as an external consultant for the Spanish water treatment company Derypol, developing a 5–year corporate strategic plan.

Josep’s interest in the field of sustainable finance and impact investing extends to his activities outside Quadia. He is involved in a number of related associations and forums, and co-founded in 2017 Next Generation Finance, a Geneva-based sustainable finance association seeking to engage the Millennial generation.

Josep holds a Bachelor in Business Administration from ESADE Business School in Barcelona, completing an Exchange Program at Emory University, Atlanta. More recently, he graduated from ESADE’s MSc in Finance and the CEMS Master in International Management joint program with the University of St. Gallen. Josep is fluent in English, Spanish and French.
