Scott Hudnall

Director, IT Laboratory Services at Quanterix

Scott Hudnall has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of laboratory informatics and systems analysis. Scott has held various roles in different companies, with a focus on implementing and managing laboratory information management systems (LIMS). From 2000 to 2005, as a Lab Tech / Programmer at Simpson Gumpertz & Heger, Consulting Engineers, they developed a custom in-house LIMS and project tracking database application using SQL Server 2000. Scott also worked on automating billing and implementing a barcode system for tracking equipment and samples. After that, they worked at Elan Pharmaceutical as a LIMS Administrator, where they administered LabWare LIMS and developed GLP analytical methods and custom laboratory applications. Scott then moved on to Cell Therapeutics, Inc. as a Systems Analyst, where they assisted in computer software validation and supported validated applications. At Amgen, they worked as a Regulatory Systems Analyst, providing benchtop instrument support and scientific software support. Scott then worked at Elan Pharmaceuticals again, this time as a LIMS Administrator on a contract basis, administering LabWare LIMS, Nugenesis SDMS, and SoftMax Pro systems. Scott developed GLP analytical methods and implemented them in LabWare LIMS, and also developed and validated custom laboratory applications. After that, they joined Agilent Technologies as a Laboratory Informatics Support Engineer on a contract basis, before moving on to Kaiser Permanente Northwest as a Manager of Laboratory Informatics Systems, where they were responsible for managing laboratory informatics systems. Scott then joined Moderna as an Associate Director of Clinical LIMS Engineering, where they worked on clinical LIMS engineering. Scott also served as a Principal Engineer - LabVantage Architect, during which they worked on LabVantage architecture. Currently, they are the Director of IT Laboratory Services at Quanterix.

Scott Hudnall holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in IT from the University of Phoenix. Scott also attended San Diego City College and the University of South Alabama, focusing on Chemistry and Physics. Scott completed their high school education at George Washington High School. In addition, Scott obtained the Moderna AI Academy - Awareness certification from Moderna in 2022.
