Software Engineer - Data, Machine Learning at Quark.ai

Franco Schiavone has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Franco started their career at Plegados Franger | Metallurgical SME as a Production & Product Design Manager, where they excelled in production planning and optimizing material handling.

Franco then moved on to TAUMET S.A. as a Procurement Manager and Quality Manager, where they implemented ISO 9001 Certification and improved the stock management system, resulting in cost savings.

After that, Franco worked at Ternium as a Data Analyst, where they designed and developed a contractors' database and managed contractor personnel. Franco also served as a Senior Data Analyst in the Industrial Engineering Functional Area, where they provided training and support to peers and managers and monitored management KPIs.

Following this, Franco joined Radium Rocket as a Full-stack Developer, specializing in MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js) Stack. Here, they acquired skills in web development.

Franco then co-founded Ventilemos, where they held the role of Co-Founder & Chief Product Officer. Franco led market research, product development, and marketing efforts for CO2 monitors designed to measure indoor air quality in the COVID-19 context. Franco successfully led a cross-functional team to two product launches.

Currently, Franco is working as a Software Engineer at Quark.ai, a position they started in 2023.

Throughout their career, Franco has demonstrated expertise in various areas including production management, data analysis, procurement, and software engineering.

Franco Schiavone completed their Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad Nacional de Rosario, where they studied from 2011 to 2019. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications. In September 2020, Franco completed the "Machine Learning" course offered by Andrew Ng at Stanford University. Franco also completed two courses from MITx on edX: "Introduction to Computational Thinking and Data Science" in June 2020 and "Introduction to Computer Science and Programming Using Python" in March 2020. Furthermore, they hold a certification in First Certificate in English obtained from the University of Cambridge in December 2009.
