Stephen Mitchell

Stephen Mitchell has extensive work experience in compliance roles. Stephen is currently working as the Head of Compliance for Railpen, where they are responsible for compliance in a regulated entity managing £35bn of pension fund assets. Prior to this, Stephen founded and directed Summit Compliance Services, where they provided contract roles for various organizations including the Financial Conduct Authority. Stephen also held positions as a Senior Compliance Manager at Vanguard Asset Management, Head of Compliance at BNP Paribas Security Services, Director and Head of Compliance at FundQuest UK Limited, and Head of Compliance and Compliance Advisor at Banque Lombard Odier & Cie SA. Stephen started their career at NatWest, where they held various compliance roles, including Senior Compliance Manager, Head of Compliance for Retail and Commercial Businesses, Regional Compliance Manager, and Regional Training Manager.

Stephen Mitchell has a Master of Science (MSc) in Financial Services Regulation from London Metropolitan University, which they obtained from 1998 to 2000. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Geology from the University of Portsmouth from 1982 to 1985.
