Caolan Vaughan McDaid started working at Randox in 2021. Caolan worked as an Immunoassay Research and Development Scientist, starting in November 2021. Prior to that, they were a qPCR Technologist at the same company from September 2021 to November 2021.
Before joining Randox, Caolan worked at Donegal County Council starting in 2015. Caolan held the role of Beach Lifeguard and was part of 2-3 person lifeguard teams at various locations in Co. Donegal. Caolan'sresponsibilities included ensuring public safety, providing advice on water safety and beach amenities, maintaining rescue equipment, maintaining beaches to Blue Flag standards, and coordinating rescues with the Irish Coast Guard and other emergency services. Caolan was also appointed as the senior member of a 3-person team for the summer of 2020. Caolan'stenure at Donegal County Council lasted until September 2021.
Caolan Vaughan McDaid has a diverse education history. From 2020 to 2021, they attended University College Dublin, where they pursued an MSc degree in Biotechnology. Prior to that, from 2016 to 2020, they also studied at University College Dublin and earned a BSc in Biomedical, Health, and Life Sciences. Earlier in their education, from 2010 to 2016, they attended St. Eunan's College and completed their Leaving Certificate.
Additionally, McDaid has obtained several certifications. In September 2020, they received the PH525.1x: Statistics and R certification from HarvardX. In March 2015, they acquired the National Beach Lifeguard Award from Water Safety Ireland.
