Jan-Elof Cavander

Jan-Elof Cavander is the current Chief Financial Officer at Rapala VMC Corp. Cavander has a long and impressive work history, starting with a position as an assistant risk manager at Wärtsilä from February 2009 to June 2010. There, Cavander was in charge of strategic and operational risk management, as well as global insurance programs and corporate risk reporting. From August 2008 to October 2008, Cavander worked as a management consultant trainee at McKinsey & Company, where they focused on M&A and corporate restructuring, as well as corporate strategy. Finally, before taking on their current role at Rapala VMC Corp, Cavander worked as a research assistant from January 2008 to July 2008 at Cost Management Center (Tampere University of Technology), where they did business controlling consultancy for external clients and management accounting research.

Jan-Elof Cavander has a M.Sc. (Tech.) in Industrial Engineering and Management from Tampere University of Technology 1965-2018. Jan-Elof also has a Controller Performance Program from Hanken & SSE Executive Education.
