Job Title: Director of Business Development – Special Operations

Position Overview:
Seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, energetic, and experienced Business Development professional to develop, manage, and drive growth and expansion across the SOF ecosystem. Supporting all Business Units within Raven Advisory, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record of identifying, qualifying, pursuing, and winning new business opportunities within the Federal and DoD sectors, with specific knowledge of the SOF community. Duties also include enhancing and developing existing and new clients, new organizations, new partners, and new business to business (B2B) relationships.
The job entails a key and critical role in developing and implementing tactical, strategic, and campaign plans leading to robust pipelines supporting Raven Advisory's corporate short, mid and long-range corporate goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
· Drive business growth by identifying opportunities, tracking new markets, and building sustainable client relationships.
· Find, qualify and develop new business opportunities, partnerships, and business to enhance and meet new annual business targets.
· Identify and pursue opportunities through market research, networking, and relationship building.
· Lead, manage, develop and implement the company’s business development pipeline strategy
· Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client and business to business (B2B) relationships.
· Prepare and assist, as required, in the capture of opportunities leading to the successful development of clear, concise, compelling and compliant proposal support key opportunities.
· A Subject Matter Expert (SME) in SOF operations, organizational structure, and familiar with requirements to support BD/Capture and Proposal efforts, as directed.
· Collaborate with the executive team to set business objectives and implement action plans for achieving set targets.
· Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and stakeholders.
· Demonstrated ability in business-to-business (B2B) sales.
· Impeccable verbal and written communication skills.
· Familiarity with project management methodologies.
· Negotiate and close business deals.
· Monitor and report on key performance metrics.
· Stay current with SOF ecosystem and organizational changes, industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
· Travel is required in performance of duties.
· Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
· Master’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
· 8 years’ experience in business development or a related field.
· Analytical Skills to research, identify, and adjust to developing trends in a target market.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
