Shamari Benton

Shamari Benton's work experience starts with their current position as the Vice President of FP&A and Investor Relations at Real Good Foods since January 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Director at HelpPays from March 2022 to March 2023. From January 2021 to March 2022, they were a Senior Strategic Finance Manager - Marketing and Growth at Nomi Health. Before that, they held the position of Senior Financial Analyst at Lear Corporation from October 2018 to December 2021. From June 2017 to September 2018, they worked as a Treasury Portfolio Analyst at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. Prior to that, they were involved in Fixed Income and Currencies - Sales & Trading at RBC Capital Markets from July 2015 to May 2017. Shamari briefly worked as an Athlete for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers from January 2015 to May 2015. In addition, they gained experience as an Investment Analyst at Tocqueville Asset Management from September 2014 to May 2015. Finally, they started their career as a Football Player in the National Football League from January 2014 to May 2014.

Shamari Benton's education history begins in 2005 when they attended Brother Rice High School. They then went on to Central Michigan University from 2009 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government with a concentration in Public Administration.

In 2015, Shamari obtained various certifications, including Intuit QuickBooks ProAdvisor and Programming for Everybody (Python) from Coursera Verified Certificates. They also completed the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania MBA Financial Accounting course through Coursera.

In 2017, Shamari completed a course called Leading with Finance at Harvard Business School Online. The following year, from 2019 to 2020, they pursued a Master's degree in Computing and Business at New Jersey Institute of Technology.

Recently, from 2020 to 2022, Shamari attended the AGSM @ UNSW Business School, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Strategy & Technology.

Throughout their education, Shamari also obtained additional certifications, such as the Series 7 and Series 63 from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) from Bloomberg LP, and Applied Financial Modeling from FactSet.
