Andrew Bindner

Andrew Bindner has over 20 years of experience in the field of information security. Andrew started as a Cryptologic Technician in the US Navy in 2000 and then worked as a Penetration Tester for Experis IT in 2014. Bindner then joined Knowledge Consulting Group as a Senior Penetration Tester, where they led small teams or worked individually on over 50 security engagements across various industries. In 2015, they joined CDW as a Senior Security Consultant and later became the Technical Lead in Information Security, focusing on mentoring and program development. In 2016, Bindner joined Rapid7 as a Senior Security Consultant, where they led the IoT Center of Excellence, developed training material, worked with regional and national sales teams, and conducted sales forecasting. In 2018, they became the Manager of Penetration Testing, responsible for leading a team of consultants and developing new services. In 2019, Bindner worked at Comcast NBCUniversal as a Senior Security Engineer and then joined Weaver as a Senior Penetration Tester, where they provided security consulting services, revamped existing services, and worked with marketing for customer-facing documents and blog articles. In 2020, Bindner joined CynergisTek, Inc. as a Senior Offensive Security Consultant in their Red Team Services. Currently, they work at Redbot Security as the Chief Security Officer and was previously the Principal Security Engineer.

Andrew Bindner obtained their A.A.S in Information Systems Analysis from Lewis-Clark State College in 2006. Andrew then received their BS in Technical Management from Devry University in 2013. Additionally, they have obtained multiple certifications from various institutions, including Amazon Web Services, CompTIA, (ISC)², Cloudera, EC-Council, Cisco, GIAC Certifications, United States Marine Corps, Rapid7, and Microsoft.
