Andrew Ridgway

Andrew Ridgway has an extensive work experience spanning various industries. Andrew is currently working at RedEye as a Cloud Data Architect, where they are responsible for designing and architecting an AWS Data Lake and ML Solution. Andrew also designs and builds Data Ops pipelines for ML and DE workloads, and implements technology and processes for broader data governance and ownership.

Prior to RedEye, Andrew worked as a Data Engineer at TechConnect IT Solutions. In this role, they focused on data engineering tasks.

Andrew also worked at Auto & General as a Data Warehouse Developer. Here, they utilized SAS, Python, SQL Server, and Google Cloud to design and deliver ETL solutions. Andrew also designed new ETL tools to include nested data structures into Big Query from multiple system APIs and created models to allow disparate business data sources to communicate and provide new structured insight. Andrew has also held positions as a Business Analyst and Forecast Analyst at Auto & General.

Before joining Auto & General, Andrew gained experience at the Department of Justice and Attorney-General QLD as an Acting Senior HR Performance Analyst. Andrew also worked as a Workforce Business Analyst at the Department of Justice and Attorney General (Queensland).

Andrew's previous roles include working as a Public Service Commission Advisor at Queensland Government, a Workforce Analyst at Queensland Health, an HR Support Officer and a Graduate Officer at the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries (Queensland).

Andrew Ridgway attended Nudgee College from 2002 to 2004. After completing high school, they went to The University of Queensland and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from 2005 to 2008. Later, they pursued further education at The University of Queensland, earning a Bachelor of Business Management in Human Resources from 2010 to 2011. Additionally, in June 2019, they obtained a certification in SAS Programming 2: Data Manipulation Techniques from SAS.
