Susan Eckstein

Susan Eckstein has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Susan is currently working at Refound as an Executive and Leadership Coach, specializing in culture change and self-development within high-growth organizations. In their role, they provide senior leaders with 1:1 coaching, helps establish clear lines of ownership, and facilitates feedback conversations.

Prior to Refound, Susan was a Group Coaching Facilitator and Coach at Medley, a professional training and coaching company. Susan led group coaching sessions and supported individuals in their personal growth and development.

Susan also worked as a Leadership Coach at SkillCycle, a personalized career coaching and e-learning company. Susan delivered group coaching and training sessions, as well as provided personalized 1:1 coaching on various topics such as communication, confidence, leadership, and empowerment.

Before entering the coaching field, Susan had experience in the fitness industry. Susan worked as a Certified Personal Trainer and Cycling and Small Group Fitness Instructor at Long Island Fitness and Wellness, where they designed and led popular group cycling programs and created personalized fitness programs for individual clients.

In addition, Susan has a background in athletic coaching. Susan worked as a Private Athletic Coach and was certified as a USA Triathlon and RRCA Running Coach. Susan was the head coach for a triathlon team and successfully coached many individuals in achieving their athletic goals.

Susan's earlier work experience includes roles at Town Sports International, where they were an ACE Certified Master Trainer and Mad Dogg Certified Spinning Instructor, and at Patchogue Nursery School, where they served as the President, overseeing operations and fundraising activities.

Susan started their career as an Administrative Assistant at Citi, supporting senior executives and organizing special events, and later worked as a Public Relations Associate at Corkery Group Unlimited, providing strategic communications counsel to healthcare clients.

Throughout their career, Susan has gained expertise in coaching, leadership development, personal and professional growth, fitness training, and communication.

Susan Eckstein obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Music from Skidmore College, where they studied from 1986 to 1990. In addition to their formal education, Susan has acquired various certifications. Susan became a Certified Facilitator of LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® x Coaching from SERIOUSWORK in July 2022. Susan obtained the certification as a Certified GCHQ Coach from Group Coaching HQ in August 2021. Susan also completed The Big Talk Academy program offered by The Big Talk Academy in April 2021. Susan'smost recent certification is as a Certified Clear Beliefs Coach from Luminary Leadership Institute, which they obtained in July 2020.
