Saba Kadlec

Saba Kadlec, MD has a diverse background in clinical development and ophthalmology. Saba is currently serving as the Medical Director and Clinical Development Lead at REGENXBIO Inc. since April 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as a Consultant in Clinical Development at the same company from November 2021 to April 2022. Before joining REGENXBIO Inc., they worked as an Ophthalmologist at Advocate Aurora Health from March 2018. Prior to that, they held the position of Ophthalmologist at Holland Eye Surgery & Laser Center from June 2015 to December 2017. Saba began their career as an Ophthalmologist at DuPage Medical Group, where they worked from 2011 to June 2015.

Dr. Saba Kadlec received their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2002. Saba then attended Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, earning their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in 2006. Following medical school, Dr. Kadlec completed an internship at NorthShore University Health in 2007. Saba went on to pursue their Ophthalmology Residency Program at the University of Illinois College of Medicine from 2007 to 2010. In 2010, they continued their postgraduate education with a Fellowship in Corneal external disease and refractive surgery at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Kadlec obtained Certification in Ophthalmology from the American Board of Ophthalmology in 2012.
