Rui Morais

Rui Morais has extensive work experience in various roles within the engineering and technology industry. Currently, they serve as the Engineering Director and Lisbon Branch Lead at RELEX Solutions. Prior to this, Rui was the Founder and Managing Partner at MMS - Regenerative Agriculture, Nuts & Honey. Rui also worked as an Engineering Manager at Volkswagen Digital Solutions and as a Sr. Manager at Infinera. Rui has held positions of Sr. R&D Manager at Coriant, Inc. and R&D Manager at Nokia Siemens Networks, where they contributed to the development of planning tools for DWDM networks. Rui began their career as a Researcher at INESC-Porto, focusing on optical fibers and sensor design. Rui also gained experience as a Project Lead and PhD. Student at Siemens and as a Development Engineer at Multiwave Networks. Additionally, they served as an Assistant Professor at Universidade do Porto.

Rui Morais holds an MSc. degree in Optoelectronics and Lasers from Universidade do Porto, which they completed between 2001 and 2003. In 2017 and 2018, they pursued a Post-Graduation in Business Administration and Management, General at ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics & Management.
