Roland Schwietz

Roland Schwietz is a seasoned professional in data governance and geographic information systems with extensive experience in the oil and gas sector. Currently, as Data Governance Manager for E&P Information Management at Repsol since December 2015, Roland focuses on the governance of production and maintenance data while ensuring alignment with corporate data management standards. Previously, Roland held roles in technical data governance and as Lead GIS Specialist, where leadership in GeoSpatial Data Management was key. Roland started a career at Talisman Energy, providing GIS solutions before working in various roles including GIS Technologist and Flight Service Specialist. Roland holds a BSc in Geography from the University of Calgary and a B.App.GIS in Geographic Information Systems from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
