Chris O'Brien

Director, Product Integration at Resonant

Chris O'Brien's work experience includes various roles at different companies. From August 2022 to the present, they have been working as the Director of Product Integration at Resonant Inc., a Murata Company. Prior to that, from October 2020 to July 2022, they served as the Principal Process Integration Engineer at the same company.

Before joining Resonant Inc., Chris worked at Peregrine Semiconductor from April 2010 to October 2020. During this time, they held several positions, including Senior Manager of Yield and Failure Analysis, Senior Manager of Integration, Integration Manager, and Product Engineer. In these roles, they were responsible for product yield, integration, and quality across different suppliers and processes, with a focus on RF applications. Chris also managed customer RMAs and led failure analysis and process improvement initiatives.

Earlier in their career, from July 2008 to April 2010, Chris worked at Sapphicon Semiconductor as a Device Engineer. In this role, they contributed to the creation of an in-house design team and was involved in the development of design programs, design flow, and new CMOS devices and circuit blocks.

Before Sapphicon Semiconductor, Chris worked at Peregrine Semiconductor from July 2006 to July 2008 as a Device Engineer. During this time, they were responsible for process control and development of a CMOS Silicon-on-Sapphire process for RF and space applications. Chris'stasks included process and device characterization, failure analysis, process qualification, reliability analysis, and test structure design.

Chris O'Brien attended The University of Queensland from 1998 to 2001, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Chris then pursued further education at the same institution from 2002 to 2006, earning a PhD in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Photonics.
