Ayala Allon, PhD has a diverse work experience in various research and data science roles.

Starting in 2009, Ayala worked as a Survey Assistant at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Ayala then moved on to become a Research Assistant at The Open University of Israel in 2010.

In 2011, Ayala began working as a Cognitive Neuroscientist PhD Researcher at Tel Aviv University, where they designed and conducted independent studies on the visual short-term memory system in the human brain. Ayala published six articles in peer-reviewed journals during their time there. Ayala also served as an Instructor for a Research Methods Class at the School of Psychological Sciences from 2015 to 2017. Additionally, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Minducate Research and Innovation Center for Science of Learning, conducting EEG research to examine human visual long-term memory mechanisms.

Moving on to 2018, Ayala became a Fulbright and Zuckerman STEM Leadership Postdoctoral Scholar at The Ohio State University. During their time there, they designed and conducted independent research on human visual attention mechanisms, utilizing neurophysiology (EEG) and psychophysics (behavioral) techniques.

In 2019, Ayala participated in the Science to Data Science (S2DS) Fellowship, a five-week intense bootcamp aimed at helping individuals with advanced analytical degrees transition into data science careers. Through the program, they improved the free text search engine for a company's website using natural language processing (NLP) techniques.

Ayala then joined L1ght in 2019 as a Data Scientist, where they focused on developing algorithms for detecting online toxic behaviors using NLP and deep learning models. Ayala worked on problem definition, research, data pipeline, data cleansing, and model training.

Most recently, Ayala has been working at retrain.ai, starting in 2021. Ayala initially held the role of Data Scientist and has since been promoted to Senior Data Scientist as of March 2022.

Ayala Allon holds a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience from Tel Aviv University, which they obtained through the Direct Track program from 2011 to 2017. Prior to their doctorate, they earned a Master of Arts degree in Cognitive Psychology from Tel Aviv University from 2009 to 2011. Ayala completed their undergraduate studies at Achva Academic College, where they received a Bachelor of Arts degree (Cum Luda) in Psychology and Interdisciplinary Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences from 2006 to 2009.

Additionally, Ayala Allon has obtained several certifications outside of their formal education. Ayala completed various online courses and obtained certificates in subjects such as Natural Language Processing, Linux command line mastery, SQL, Python programming, machine learning, and Git. Ayala's pursuit of continuous learning and diverse skillset acquisition reflects their commitment to staying updated and enhancing their expertise in relevant areas.
