Chen Yanai

Chen Yanai has a strong background in data science and analytics. They currently work as a Data Scientist at retrain.ai, starting in March 2021. Prior to this, they held a position as a Data Scientist at CBG - Cyber@Ben Gurion University from December 2017 to March 2021. During their time at CBG, Chen worked on various projects for different companies, including predicting demographic information using Word2vec on spatial trajectories, implementing anomaly detection techniques for fraud prevention, detecting changes in user behavior based on cellular data, and developing machine learning models for fraud detection in money transactions.

Before CBG, Chen Yanai worked at Unit 9900 - Israeli Intelligence Corps for several years. They served as the Head of the Data Analytics and Engineering Department from September 2014 to July 2016, where they were responsible for leading a team and developing novel spatial-based algorithms. Prior to this role, Chen was an Analyst Team Lead from April 2012 to August 2014, commanding a team during major operations and closely collaborating with customers. They also worked as a Geospatial Data Analyst from September 2010 to April 2012.

Chen Yanai completed a Masters in Software and Information System Engineering, specializing in Machine Learning and Data Science, from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, Chen Yanai pursued a Bachelor's degree in Software and Information Systems Engineering, also focusing on Machine Learning and Data Science, at the same university from 2016 to 2020.
