Matt Hurst

Matt Hurst has extensive experience in the telecommunications industry. Matt started their career at BT, where they worked as a Technical Officer, responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting a global data reference model. Matt then joined Network Equipment Technologies as a Senior Systems Engineer, specializing in Unified Communications solutions and providing advanced technical support for pre-sales and post-sales activities. Matt later joined Sonus as a Technical Director, where they led the EMEA SE team and provided technical support and consultancy to the channel and partner network. In their most recent role at Ribbon Communications, Matt served as the Senior Director of Global XaaS Solutions, leading the technical development of Ribbon's cloud aaS solution offerings and ensuring the training and support of the pre-sales teams. Throughout their career, Matt has been recognized as a trusted advisor and leader in enabling the integration of UC solutions into existing telephony environments.

Matt Hurst attended Suffolk College from 1990 to 1996, where they obtained a Higher National Certificate (HNC) and a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Software, Electronic and Electrical Engineering. In addition to their college education, they also hold several certifications. In July 2017, they obtained the CISSP certification from e-Careers Limited. Matt also earned the Openstack Essentials certification and the Openstack MCA100 Associates Certification from Linux Academy in November 2016.
