Provincial Laboratory Coordinator-usaid Action HIV at RIGHT TO CARE

Eric Nyirenda has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the healthcare and laboratory sectors. Eric started their career at Nchanga North General Hospital Laboratory in 2012, where they worked as a Medical Laboratory Scientist and later became the Quality Assurance Manager. In this role, they also headed the Chemistry Department. Eric held these positions until October 2020.

In 2020, Eric joined JSI | John Snow, Inc. as a Provincial Quality Management Systems Coordinator, where they worked until October. During this time, they played a crucial role in ensuring quality management in healthcare systems.

Additionally, in 2020, Eric also worked as a District Laboratory Program Officer at SPHO-CDC CoAg, where they were responsible for managing laboratory programs at the district level. Eric held this position until March 2022.

Prior to these roles, Eric worked as a Quality Management Systems Mentor at the Ministry of Health - Zambia starting in January 2019.

Eric'smost recent position is as a Provincial Laboratory Coordinator for the USAID Action HIV project at Right to Care, starting in February 2022.

Eric Nyirenda's work experience showcases a strong background in laboratory operations, quality management, and program coordination in the healthcare sector.

Eric Nyirenda completed their Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from Texila American University Consortium from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biomedical Sciences with a focus on Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology/Technologist from the University of Zambia, which they completed from 2008 to 2012. Additionally, they earned a Certificate in Quality Management Systems from The University of British Columbia in 2017.

Eric Nyirenda also holds various certifications, including the Project Management Professional (PMP®) from the Project Management Institute, obtained in November 2021. Eric is also a Certified Medical Devices Auditor (CMDA) from ASQ - World Headquarters, obtained in May 2021, and a Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE), obtained in March 2020. Furthermore, they are a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB), obtained in November 2019, and a Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), obtained in August 2019.
