Andrea Diaz-Varela serves as the Global Director of Education at Right To Play since June 2016, where responsibilities include leading the development and execution of the global strategic plan for Education, providing technical oversight of the education portfolio, and managing a global team across multiple countries. Previously, Andrea held positions at UNESCO as an Education Specialist and at The World Bank as an Education in Emergencies Consultant. Experience encompasses the development of technical resources on education resilience and conducting assessments in various countries. Andrea has also worked as a consultant for various organizations, focusing on early childhood education and educational projects. Academic qualifications include an MSc in Comparative and International Education from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University in Political Science and International Development Studies.
