Irene Albaladejo Carrasco is a Specialist Molecular Breeding Cucurbits & Bean at RIJK ZWAAN IBERICA SA since June 2018. Before that, Irene worked as a Pre-doctoral Researcher at Centro de Edafología y Biología Aplicada del Segura (CEBAS-CSIC) from January 2014 to June 2018. Irene's research projects focused on the identification, tagging, and functional analysis of genes involved in salt stress tolerance in tomato and wild-related species, as well as the function of ion transporters in sustainable tomato production under saline conditions. Irene holds a PhD in Plant Biology from Universidad de Murcia, an MS in Plant Molecular and Cellular Biotechnology from Instituto de Biología Molecular y Celular de Plantas (IBMCP-CSIC), and a BS in Biotechnology from Universitat Politècnica de València.
