An Nguyen

An Nguyen has over 14 years of work experience in the tech industry. In 2007, they co-founded Datviet24h, a Web 2.0 news portal for Vietnamese readers, and served as the CTO. In 2009, they provided consultant services for Digital Transformation, CRM, HRM, ERP, Open Source/OpenOffice/Linux adoption for several companies, schools, universities, and government's provincial departments. In 2011, they joined Klamr as a Jr DevOps and quickly rose to Head of DevOps, pioneering many then-cutting edge DevOps practices such as IaaC, Auto Scaling, and Automation. In 2014, they joined VNG Corporation as a Senior Supervisor and worked on Infrastructure, Backend and Data for an in-house startup. That same year, they also joined Deliveree On-Demand Logistics (Southeast Asia) as Head of Engineering, building a Tech Hub and supervising the construction of 8 offices in 4 countries. In 2021, they joined Papaya Insurtech as CTO, building and stabilizing the tech team and launching two independent businesses. Currently, they are the Head of Engineering at Ringkas.

An Nguyen graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. During college, An was a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society and the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. An also completed an internship with the California State Senate in 2017.
